Our Mission
The Oxley Dog Training Club's training philosophy is aligned to the training methods approved and adopted by Dogs NSW. These methods are based on positive and motivational techniques in a social environment. The positive and motivational methods have been proven to be successful when used by a variety of handlers on a variety of breed types.
We have instructors that have experienced dog training in numerous disciplines. To become qualified, our instructors have successfully completed theory and practical elements of an approved study program and have also completed an internship within a club atmosphere.
Our mission is to work in a dynamic relationship with our members to create simple effective methods in a friendly, positive club environment.
To promote training (obedience, rally and scent work) and trialing at all levels, canine social awareness and socially responsible owners aware of their obligations in the community.

We respect and appreciate all members and there canine companions and work towards our common goal to build a strong, respected community based organisation of which we may be proud.

We are affiliated with Dogs NSW and this year, we celebrate 54 years of training.

For those who are attending for the first time, you are required to have an up-to-date vaccination certificate of your dog at the C5 level.
Please bring your dog, as you will have an orientation morning for the first half followed by basic training with your dog for the second half of the session.
It is recommended that new members ring our contact number(s) to confirm starting times. Collars, leads and other training aids can be purchased at the club.
